    Seasonal Positions Available at Mackinac State Historic Parks

    Seven historic attractions. Two beautiful state parks. Unforgettable experiences galore! Spend your summer interpreting the cultural and natural history of the Straits of Mackinac, one of the Midwest’s most historic locations, renowned for its natural beauty. For a more information about Mackinac State Historic Parks, visit www.mackparks.com. Below are just some of the many seasonal positions now hiring for the 2022 season:

    Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park - Naturalist/Adventure Tour Guide (Mackinaw City): Interpret natural history of the North Woods while leading the high ropes Adventure Tour and providing nature themed presentations at various locations in the park.

    Colonial Michilimackinac Interpreter – Civilian (Mackinaw City): Costumed historical interpreter at Colonial Michilimackinac responsible for interpreting the role of civilian men and women at Michilimackinac during the 18th century.

    Colonial Michilimackinac Interpreter – Military (Mackinaw City): Costumed historical interpreter position open to men and women responsible for interpreting the role of British soldiers at Michilimackinac during the 18th century.

    Fort Mackinac Interpreter – Military (Mackinac Island): Historic interpreters at Fort Mackinac, interpreting the role of soldiers at the fort during the 19th century, primarily the 1880s.

    Historic Downtown Interpreter (Mackinac Island): Historic interpreter at the Biddle House, American Fur Co. Store & Dr. Beaumont Museum, and Fort Mackinac on a daily basis, and the McGulpin House and Benjamin Blacksmith Shop on a weekly basis, responsible for interpreting these sites with various themes connected to the 1820s and 1830s fur trade and 1880s garrison life.

    Guest Services Representative (Mackinac Island or Mackinaw City): Sells admission tickets, assists guests and sells merchandise in museum stores and provides information to guests about Mackinac State Historic Park sites and the Straits of Mackinac region.

    This list represents just SOME of the many positions available at Mackinac State Historic Parks for the 2022 season! Pay rate for seasonal positions starts at $12/hour, with affordable employee housing available. Length of positions vary from 12 to 23 weeks.
